I recently finished a 3-part “Building Habits of Happiness” series with the 9th and 10th-grade classes at St. Joe’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia. The young men who participated in this program were brimming with positive energy, supportive of each other, and willing to explore mind-body concepts in exciting new ways. Part concert, part TED talk, part workshop, we were redefining what a “school lecture” could be, moving rapidly from cheering to quiet reflection to paired discussions. Together we found a dynamic range for self-improvement, awakening our collective and individual optimism, growth potential, value-based decision-making, and positive connections. I’m so grateful for the opportunity from Principal Andy Cavacos, Stew Barbera, Br. Carson, and Bill Gillespie. I’m looking forward to continuing our work together!
